With further reference to your
letter of the 8th December 1927, 119/
Abroad/745 (F.1.) regarding the scheme
for removing the Military Establishments
in Hong Kong, I am, etc., to state
that it is understood, semi-officially,
that some time may elapse before
the further communication referred to
in para. 2 of that letter can be made
prefor
and that the Army Council would like
the letter to be brought before the
Colonial Government without delay. In
the circumstances a copy is being sent
to the Governor forthwith for his
